Nominate Your Favorite Vendors for The 2008 Big Wigs Awards!

It's about recognition of excellence.
It's about appreciation and respect.
It's about saying "thank you" to the vendors in marketing, public relations and advertising who have demonstrated outstanding work, support and integrity.

OK, it's also about having fun, dressing up and dancing the night away at the hippest party of the year – The 2008 Big Wigs Award Ceremony, June 12th at The Mansion at Judges' Hill.

But before you start planning your costume for this year's theme – The Roaring 20s and The Jazz Age (bathtub gin, feather boas and old-school gangster attire) – we need your nominations for the best vendors in Austin.

Nominate Your Favorite Vendors Today. Deadline is May 9th.
(anyone can nominate, but only Ad Fed Members can cast final votes)

How to Keep Your Clients - Monthly Luncheon

Keeping and building business with your current clients, and attracting new ones, is your priority in the best of economic times. When the national economy’s slowdown eventually visits Austin—to whatever degree—will you be ready?

The Austin Ad Fed Monthly Luncheon Series presents

"How to Keep Your Clients"
with Mike Bogda, Principal of ABA Consulting
Thursday, May 22 (note different day)
Mansion at Judges Hill
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

After assessing hundreds of client-agency relationships and reviewing thousands of agency pitches, ABA knows why clients leave their agencies and how an agency can best defend (and win) business.  You’ll learn why clients leave, what drives strong relationships, and how to win a pitch.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!

Come watch Texas State University advertising students recreate their stunning presentation for AIM (AOL Instant Messaging) that recently won the District 10 National Student Advertising Competition. You can see the future of advertising at their best, and wish them luck as they head to the national competition in June.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S STILL MORE!!

District 10 ADDYs were awarded on April 20th, and of course Austin blew away the competition. We’ll recognize the winners and hand out ADDY award trophies to both the Austin Show and District winners.
