Door Number 3, an aggressively growing agency looking for Media Planner/Buyer with 2 to 3 years experience in an advertising or media
services agency. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of media venues (broadcast, print, interactive, etc.), local planning/buying a
plus, strong attention to detail and comprehensive follow through, above-average math skills with strong media math expertise and a real passion
for the media planning process.
- Core responsibilities include but not limited to:
- • Tracking client budgets
- • Providing support for implementation of media strategy and direction
- • Develop POVs and recommendations on media to clients
- • Implement media plans
- • Continual plan maintenance
- • Monitor plan results
- • Billing and Reconciling
- • Strong negotiation skills
- • Ability to work as a team with media department as well as other agency depts.
- • Manage and mentor Junior Media Planner
- • Stay up-to-date on recent trends and educate colleagues
- • Must learn and become proficient with Strata media software
- • Ability to wear many hats and have multiple responsibilities
- • Strong written and oral communication skills
- • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word

Job Title: MEDIA BUYER/PLANNER CONTRACT POSITION (PART-TIME)
Company Name: The Ampersand Agency 
Job Description:
The media buyer/planner will plan, organize, implement and control the
day-to-day media buying process. They will act as a resource in developing
sound media buys to help increase traffic and sales for our clients and
negotiate the best rates and added value. The successful candidate will work
the Ampersand team in various respects: marketplace conditions, competitive
analysis, media research, promotional opportunities and billing. On occasion
the buyer will assist the business development team by conducting market and
target audience research for agency proposals. Must have experience
purchasing media for broadcast, print and online, using SNAPSHOTS
INTERACTIVE software and STRATA.
The hours for this contract position will vary week to week. There may be
some weeks that we will not require work, and others an upwards of 10-15
hours. We would ideally like to establish a long-term go-to media person to
help us as needs/projects arise.
