Virtual Day At The Capitol is our chance to impact legislation that governs the advertising industry, directly affecting each of our livelihoods. Texas lawmakers are ready to hear our voices and understand our impact on the Texas economy.
We’ll kick off our Virtual Day at the Capitol at Noon with a welcome message from AAF District 10 Governor Stephanie Price.
AAF National President and CEO Steve Pacheco and Governor Price will enlighten participants about AAF’s role in government and will introduce industry experts who will educate our attendees about issues affecting our industry.

· Deductibility of Advertising Expenses
· Privacy laws
We’ll also have a brief presentation: “How the Texas State Government works and how to talk to legislators” before going into legislator meetings.
We will distribute key talking points and give participants the opportunity to go into breakout rooms to meet with State Representatives, Senators, and/or staff members to raise awareness of the economic contribution of our industry and the negative impact that taxation of services would have on our workforce.
Don’t worry, we’ll have AAF leaders for each call – you can simply watch and learn if you’re not interested in speaking.
One of the main reasons the American Advertising Federation was created is to educate and keep our industry healthy through a grassroots network to keep our legislators aware of the economic impact our industry has and how legislation affects us.
