The Texas Privacy Act: What Agencies Need To Know
The Texas Privacy Protection Act, passed in the last legislature and signed into law, amends Texas’ breach notification law to be more in line with other states’ breach notification laws. This creates a mechanism to study the legislative trends related to privacy and data protection before making recommendations for future privacy legislation in the state. Lawmakers are likely to look at adding further protections in the 2021 legislative season.
Find out what the new law means for agencies, who will be affected, and what steps you should take to protect your clients as well as your own data at our January Breakfast Serial.
Ticket holders to the November Breakfast, that was cancelled due to weather and school closings, already have a seat reserved at this January Breakfast. For questions, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
