Advance your career while gaining skills with a strong not-for-profit advertising organization based in Austin Texas. AAF Austin is looking for an Executive Director to support and guide our volunteer board.

As AAF Austin Executive Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization operates smoothly and remains in compliance with our bylaws, with our finances, and managing the operations of the club.

Role Details
Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling board meetings, preparing board agenda/package, and recording minutes
  • Distributing board minutes and retaining all required records
  • Managing Quickbooks and working with Treasurer to manage club finances
  • Ensuring chapter compliance with bylaws as well as national and district requirements
  • Ensuring annual filing of required taxes and insurance
  • Handling membership renewals and working directly with company members to maintain accurate membership lists
  • Managing job listings submitted by members
  • Updating and managing online store
  • Working directly with president(s) to report on operations
  • Coordinating with VPs on club initiatives
  • Coordinating with district and national administration to remain compliant with club expectations
  • Other administrative duties as directed by the Board of Directors

Job Type:

  • Average of 20 hours per week with seasonal variation up to 40 hours per week during January-February (part-time)
  • Hourly
  • Remote with some on-location (Austin area) as needed
  • W2

Compensation:

  • From $25 an hour (negotiable)

Qualifications and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • English fluent
  • High-level of organization and ability to follow a system
  • U.S. resident

Technology Needs and Skills:

  • Access to reliable internet
  • Familiarity with Zoom/Teams or similar video conferencing
  • Familiarity with Google tools
  • Excited to learn web software and tools
