Overview: Collaborate with a creative marketing UX team to build out a web application to help sell enterprise storage solutions

Location: work from your Austin-area home office

Compensation: $71/hr

Hours/Duration: Full-time schedule, 6 months

Liaison Creative + Marketing is hiring a Principal UX Design Consultant to join our team supporting our high tech corporate client, a leader in Enterprise Technology solutions. As a member of our team embedded with our client company, you will be designing a web application centered around enterprise storage solutions for the internal sales reps. In this fast-paced, Agile environment you will be supporting a global rollout of a high visibility project that will be responsible for the user experience of a major tool for the Seller Experience organization. Current team is 15 people including Principal Designers; Sr. Product Designers; Product Designers; UX Researchers. Project timeline and assignment duration is set for 6 months, not likely to extend significantly.
• Establish a shared vision in a cross-functional team owning a product-line, program, or undefined product space
• Knowledge of the functional aspects of the larger end to end experience
• Lead others in learning standard design artifacts (user flows, wireframes, comps, prototypes)
• Determine the process for applying lean methods to eliminate waste and manage risk
• Determine the design iteration process for maximizing opportunities for feedback in their work and improve collaboration across teams
• Determine the process of divergent and convergent thinking methods for creating highly effective and innovative products
• Coordinate and facilitating design critique sessions across design and cross-functional teams
• Understand how to measure and influence team dynamics
• Help cross-functional teams effectively present written and verbal information to the organization so that they absorb and understand their points
• Take a user-centered approach to design process and methods
• Lead the design process from problem discovery, framing, ideation, iterative development, delivery, and maintenance
• Guide and validate design decisions with user research methods and existing data
• Learn and balance user and business goals to achieve desirable, viable, and feasible solutions
• To be responsible for user research, interaction design, visual design, and content artifacts that communicate design decisions for the user experience and user interface
• Partner and collaborate effectively with researchers, engineers, designers, product owners, and business stakeholders on all initiatives
• Evolve and evangelize our Design System

How to be a top candidate for this job:
• 8-12 years of related experience
• Enterprise level experience preferred
• Experience working with complex applications
• A web-based portfolio (no attachments or downloads please)
• Experience with a user-centered approach to design process and methods
• While this role is likely to be remote for the near term, we are only considering local Round Rock and Austin area candidates. • Solid UX Design skills
• Figma software experience, Windows fluency
• able to test prototypes
• able to synthesize the data and then articulate that into some sort of design
• strong presentation skills and experience with presenting to an executive level leadership team.
